About

The Pod Realm began with a small question: what if a doll were not a toy, but a resident?

Not something you own — someone you meet. With a name. With a reason to be here. With one small thing they carry everywhere and a story about why.

So we built a world for them to live in: the Old Wood, at the edge of everything, where the wall between two worlds is thinnest. Its people are called the Duskins — small folk made of pods, lace and little bells. Every year the Pale Frost arrives, not out of cruelty but out of loneliness, and the Duskins answer it the only way they know: with warmth, memory, music, and each other.

How they are made

Everything is made by hand, in small batches. Each doll is built around a dried pea pod, then decorated with natural materials — star anise, pine cones, wood, cotton and wool felt — and finished with hand stitching.

Because they are handmade from natural materials, small differences in colour, texture and decoration are normal. They are not defects; they are how you know a machine did not make it.

Why they take a few days to leave

We do not keep a warehouse full of identical dolls. Each one is finished in small batches and takes several days to complete. Please allow 5–7 days before dispatch. Good things are rarely fast.

Every resident has a story card

Each doll arrives with their own illustrated card: their name, their role in the Old Wood, and the thing they keep in their pocket. Because in a world that thins when it forgets, writing something down is how you keep it.

Made by hand. Slightly imperfect, entirely yours.
